While going about the city area running some errands and paying bills, I dropped by a friend of mine who works at financing to get some auto insurance quotes for my sister. She is thinking of buying a car soon and asked me to check out car insurance information. She’d rather have me approach someone whom I trust and familiar with to get these sort of information coz she doesn’t know insurance agents all that well.

Without time to workout, run or play tennis, the only fat burner activity left these days are the housechores and tending to my kids’ needs. It may seem house work does very little in helping us stay thin. But when you have to do it every minute of your waking hour, it adds up. Especially those making me run up and down the stairs. No need for a treadmill. With some dieting and weight loss supplements, I can still look forward to some pretty good weight loss.

Another day ends. Clarisse is sound asleep and I just managed to tuck baby Edward in. Daddy is in the living room working at the PC. And I’m catching on news headlines, emails and some paid posts.
I could see my husband struggling to keep his eyes open to get some work done. Serious work can only be done in a stretch of uninterrupted hours, that’s something we both agree. We could only have that luxury when the kids are off to bed at about midnight. But by that time, there’s very little energy left in us to even keep our eyelids open.
Ever since his PC was moved out into the living room it’s been tough for him to work. We don’t have a choice. Someone needs to constantly keep an eye on Clarisse. Most people work from 9 to 5. He on the other hand, gets interrupted every 9 or 5 minutes. 80% of my time is spent taking care of baby Edward and our three meals. So Clarisse is my husband’s responsibility. Being a terrible-two toddler is making it even harder for him to cope.

My weight though, sigh, has crept up slightly. Last month I was 65kg and yesterday, I scaled in at 66kg. I wasn’t at all surprised to be honest, because of all the festive binge eating. So many nights eating out at restaurants and drinks with friends and family. That has to do some damage and 1kg of extra weight is already quite little. I was expecting to gain more than that. For me, 66kg is right on the extreme end of my BMI range. Time for some fast weight loss remedies now. No more excuses.

Checked Clarisse’s weight and height at the supermarket weighing machine yesterday out of boredom while waiting for daddy to pay for the groceries. She is 2 years 10 months now. Her weight and height is 13kg and 90cm. I have no idea what ideal stats are for 3-year-old girls but Clarisse has always been on the smaller built side. Her cousin sister, at 3 years old, was already 100cm tall.
It is obvious baby Edward is bigger than Clarisse at his age. At 5 months old, he can wear clothes Clarisse wore at 7-8 months old. His weight taken at the clinic last week during his routine vaccination jab, is 7.1 kg.

My friend Jeannie who has been struggling with her weight in the past ten years, ever since giving birth to her first child, is now one of weight loss success stories. Having lost a total of 25kg in the past two years after she started dieting and changing her lifestyle. We recently catch up over a drink last week and I can’t believe what I saw. Now that both her kids are of schooling age, she has found more time to devote to working out at the gym. She also goes for her regular 5km jog every alternate days. She’s a picture of health and fit mommy today but it wasn’t easy she said. Like all things, change is difficult from the start but once adapted, it won’t feel like a chore anymore. In fact, she loves her current lifestyle so much, she swears if she could work out until she’s 80, old and grey, she would.

Wrinkle fillers pump up deep lines and creases in face. I was given hyaluronic acid based wrinkle filler cream last week but I gave it to my mom. She likes it very much and said the cream do lessen the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes noticeably. It’s a very good product and she is impressed. Hyaluronic acid is a good moisture absorbing element I heard. It is found in many proven and premium moisturisers.

I’m glad and so relieved that my cough has stopped after more than a week of terrible coughing. It was so bad I can’t even get a good night’s sleep for days. I was moody and tired all week long. Thank god, it’s now over.
I’ll be extra careful with my diet. Avoid fried, hot and spicy food. And make sure I drink enough liquid to keep any infection at bay. Once I get sorethroat, there’s a decent chance a runny nose and cough will follow. Unlike my husband or the rest of my family, once I start to cough, I might be coughing for a long time. Again, I’m relieved I’m spared this time round.

My luck is running a little low these days. Having dropped an earring a week ago, gotten sick for the past few days and just recently, my handphone is giving me a lot of problems. Admittedly, I have accidently dropped it many many times in the past 2 years. So I guess it’s about time the damage takes its toll on my poor handphone. I’m going to shop for cellular phones tonight.
