The days just fly by. In a blink of an eye, Edward will be one year old next month. Everyday, from morning till night, it’s kids kids kids. Stuck with the usual and repetitious chores – breakfast for the kids, potty time, morning bath, lunch, fruits, afternoon nap for the kids, laundry, food preparation for dinner, cook dinner, evening bath, do dishes, mopping, light supper for Clarisse and milk for Edward, tuck them in bed. Mealtimes are a real chore as Clarisse is a fussy eater. It takes no less than 30 mins for her to finish her bowl of rice. Laundry from washing, hanging, drying, folding and to the wardrobe takes 1 hour. The kids never let you do housechores in peace. I’d be lucky if I can finish them by night time. If life keeps going by so fast, before I realise it one morning I’d wake up and I’ll be looking at a 40-year-old in the bathroom mirror. That’s not a bad thing come to think of it. My kids will 10 and 8 year olds by then. Nice.

I am going to be extra careful de-boning fish for Clarisse from now on. I prepared her rice with some vegetables and fish meat before going out for dinner this evening. While we were dining, Clarisse cried out loud all of a sudden. Her finger kept pointing to her lips. That’s all she could do. She was crying in pain and couldn’t even tell us what was bothering. But we knew for certain it must be a fish bone in her mouth but didn’t expect it to be so long. It was nearly an inch long. Luckily the bone was merely stuck between her teeth and pricking her lips. Not pierced into her gums or roof of her mouth thank god. Or even worst, swallowed it! *gasp* I am very angry with myself for overlooking such a big fish bone. Clarisse could’ve gotten hurt much worst.

My nose is affected most by blackheads. Probably due to my oily skin nature. Oil secretions clog up the pores leading to white head. As time goes by, it becomes black and hence the name blackhead. When left untreated, it causes acne. I regularly remove white and blackheads using removal tools. These days I don’t have the time to visit a dermatologist or skin care expert. So I clean up the blackheads myself at home. My nose blackheads are so stubborn, I can’t get them out using pore strips.

Had lunch with a friend today. She brought her 4-year-old son along. Son was occupied with a table PC, similar to Apple iPad, throughout our 1 1/2 hour lunch. He was playing PC games with it. Spotting hidden object games with puzzles to solve and an engaging storyline to boot. I was impressed and thought Clarisse is old enough for these sort of games. It’s simple, even boring to you and me, but toddlers would really enjoy it I bet. These games are best played on a tablet PC thanks to the touchscreen. No need for a mouse or keyboard. Seriously if Clarisse or Edward old enough to bug me for a portable gaming console (PSP, Nintendo DS etc), I’d rather get her a touchscreen tablet.
