My mom’s hobby is scalping in Forex. She started with Marketiva a few years ago. She spends her free time analysing news and strategies to help in her trading. But I’ve been persuading her to change broker because Marketiva’s spread is definitely not the best among the top brokers. She dragged her feet and kept saying she’s too familiar with Marketiva’s trading platform to change. Well, today she finally relented.

I helped her withdrew her money from Marketiva today and sign up a trading account in Oanda. What I like about Oanda is the spread of only 0.9pips for EURUSD. Compared to 3 pips at Marketiva, that’s a huge advantage for Oanda traders.

Tomorrow I’ll be scanning her identification documents and email it to Oanda. Hopefully within a day or two I can deposit fund her Oanda account. That brings me to the fact that Oanda accept deposits and withdrawals via PayPal, my preferred online payment.
