Seeing baby Edward capable of grabbing his crib’s rail and pulling himself over it, my husband lower the mattress yesterday. His crib is now safe and he won’t be able to go over the rails.
But now, baby Edward has just discovered stunt number two. He is able to pull himself to a standing position. All by himself without help. And you should see the joy in his face once he is standing up looking out of his crib.
I don’t know how long he could remain standing but after a couple of seconds I would lower him back to sitting position. At 8 months old, I don’t think he should be standing that long, but that’s just me.
Once he’s pushed down to either sitting or lying down, baby Edward would start to cry before trying to pull himself up again.

I’ve noticed for the past few weeks, I’m constipating. Although I sometimes have trouble passing motion, it rarely stretches more than a few days. It worries me that I’ve been mildly constipating for nearly three weeks now. I’ve started to consume more fibre rich food, pro-biotics and liquids. I’m also going to start a natural colon cleansing routine by the end of this week. Hopefully, my bowel movement will see some improvements.

Baby Edward is getting more and more playful every day. Especially when Clarisse is around him. He is also very alert to the sound of her sister approaching. When he hears the slightest sound of Clarisse’s voice or tingling sound of her anklet, he would jump up and down in excitement. Anticipating her coming through the door.
This morning baby Edward was awaken by the sound of the garbage truck passing nearby. I tried to tuck him in again. But Clarisse, perhaps feeling a bit bored downstairs, came upstairs and went to her own room. Quietly. But her anklet sound was enough to arouse baby Edward’s attention. I thought he wanted to continue his sleep but immediately opened his eyes and stare at the door when he heard Clarisse’s anklet. Arms pointing towards it wanting to go out. He refuses to go back to sleep again.

My cousin sister is an insurance agent which has been in the business for more than eight years. In that fairly short time, she has grown into a successful insurance agent. I told myself never to compare other kids with mine. Each have their own good or bad characteristics. But sometimes I hear about what other kids are good at, and I so wish Clarisse or baby Edward would do the same.
For instance, my cousin-in-law’s daughter could just move about in a playpen and sleep when she tires without much fuss. Baby Edward on the other hand, hates being left alone, nevermind going to sleep all by himself.
Clarisse is a terrible eater. She chews so slowly and keep food in her mouth. My neighbour have 3 toddlers between three to six. All of them are absolute opposite of Clarisse when it comes to mealtime. They can finish a bowl of rice in less than 15 mins. The portion of rice that would take 45 mins for Clarisse to eat.

Maybe it’s due to stress or bad diet, I don’t know. My husband has been complaining about acne breakouts for the past weeks. It doesn’t look too severe, if not barely noticeable. No matter, we will head over to the pharmacy tomorrow to check out some acne products. I have also adviced him to look into his diet. Cut down on fatty, fried and spicy food to see if his condition improves. And I’m urging him to sleep earlier too.
