My sister-in-law has just handed me an old Apple macbook. She bought a new one and doesn’t need this anymore. I don’t do much on my computer other than surf the internet, blogging and Skype. Things that can be done with computers half a decade old. This macbook is slightly newer than my old beat’up IBM Thinkpad R50e. I’ll be getting the macbook memory modules as I feel 512MB is really too little. Firefox can be a memory hog sometimes so 1GB should be the minimum for comfortable usage.
