The hot season has arrived and I think it’ll last until after Chinese New Year. As I sit here blogging under the fan at full speed, my body is still on the verge of breaking a sweat. The air from the fan feels warm.

Air-conditioners in both Clarisse and my room is working 24 hours seven days. The only time it is switched off is when we go down for our meals and when I’m doing house chores. Our house faces the setting sun diagonally, not directly, but even so it is enough for someone who sleeps in the front rooms to die of heat stroke without an air-conditioner. I am considering buying thicker curtains to block more heat from entering the rooms and living room.

The electric bill is gonna be a shocker this month. We are already paying around RM200 every month. I hope it won’t cost us more than RM300 for the next few months. I really miss the rainy season.
