My husband brought home a new dip machine for upper body workouts. He had a 2-hour tennis session with his coach after a one year hiatus. He came home looking absolutely exhausted and told me he is feeling his age. The lack of tennis and workout sessions in the past one year has made his upper body strength gone way down. He was struggling to swing his favourite tennis racket. With the new dip machine, he intends to stop the rut and work out to increase upper body muscles. I’m glad he didn’t insist on spending more time at the gym. With the new baby around, I definitely need his help around the house a lot more.

It drove most of us mental when Clarisse started to fuss, cry and make unreasonable demands on Wednesday.
Today is Sunday and the situation seems to be going from bad to worst. This afternoon, as soon as she woke up and saw papa, she cried for mama immediately. She wouldn’t want anyone else to hand her the water bottle except me. Everyone is now very afraid of even walking pass in front of Clarisse. No one dare talk to her for fear they might agitate her and make her start crying again. Once she starts to cry, oh boy, she cries non-stop until I am there to console her.
She seems to be in foul mood 24 hours. I really don’t know if her being sick and feverish is affecting her temperament so badly. That is why I am taking her to the paed tomorrow morning no matter what.
I’m also making her drink more oral salt water if in fact she’s troubled by symptoms of dehydration. But still I can’t be sure therefore I need to consult a paediatrician as I’ve never seen Clarisse so irritable and moody. I’m just so worried about her.
We need to get Clarisse well again as she’s really interrupting baby Edward’s breastfeeding. Hope that when she has recovered from her flu symptoms, she will regain her mood and quit making life so stressful for everyone in the family.
There’s sibling rivalry signs all over this situation I know. If this is a sign of things to come, I’m in for a big headache.

Clarisse’s is still suffering from slight fever since Wednesday. Her stool is still very loose, even watery at times, but the good thing is she’s not passing motion as often as Thursday and Friday. Her nose is not as runny now but I’m still giving her the meds. And sometimes fever meds when needed. She is still recovering from her sore throat which is messing with her appetite to eat. I’ll bring her to the paed tomorrow morning for a second visit coz I don’t want to drag this any longer.
Being sick, Clarisse has been very clingy and yearns for my attention nearly every waking minute, rejecting everyone else in the family. She is so unreasonable and demanding for my attention it’s driving everyone up the wall. I suppose she feels I’m neglecting her now that her brother is taking away her mommy time. I was expecting this to happen but with her being sick, it has made matters much worst.
It’s been a rough week. Everyone is taxed, not just physically but emotionally as well because Clarisse is making it very hard for us to take care of her when she only wants momma. No one else. Feeding her is also very frustrating as she refuses everything. I’ve never seen her being so difficult to handle. I just hope when she recovers, she returns to her usual happy self again.

And here’s a site listing some of the best eye cream you probably never heard of. I’ve personally have heard and used Prevera eye cream. It is obvious this product is the cheapest among the listed products. Which is exactly the reason why I have bought it in the first place, being fairly affordable. Despite the relatively low price, I’m surprised Prevera is actually quite good. However, it’s not easy to find in stores around my area. I would have to buy it online.

My friend Claire told me about this website that lists some pretty exotic and premium anti wrinkle creams. Most of the brand names that made the list are ones I’ve never heard of. So I can’t vouch for the products as I’ve never used, let alone heard of, before. I do believe some really good and effective products are not promoted or advertised as much as famous skincare brands such as Clarins, SKII, Lancome and such. Who knows you may just find a product that really works for you.

Yesterday was one of those days where it starts out with everything going wrong. My husband woke up with a fever. Clarisse woke up with a slight runny nose. The government nurse who came to check on baby Edward in the morning said his jaundice level is fairly noticeable and suggested I go to the government clinic to have it checked. So I knew I was in for a difficult day. To make things worst, the ol’ window-unit air-conditioner in my bedroom broke down for good this time. I had to schedule for a new unit to be installed.
First thing in the morning, we took baby Edward to have his jaundice checked at the government clinic. Good thing the clinic is barely 5 mins drive from our house. Baby Edward jaundice level was 9.9 and the nurse said he need not be admitted.

My mother-in-law’s Indonesian maid came and help out around the house yesterday. She said I look thinner overall. But I am hardly happy about the compliment because I’m not losing weight healthily. I have not had a decent sleep longer than 4 hours since being discharged from the hospital and I certainly don’t enjoy losing weight this way. I guess this is part and parcel of breastfeeding instead of the bottle. I’m really looking forward to settling down into a regimented diet and scheduled work out sessions to shed the pounds. I won’t mind using a bit of weight loss products to help me out. But definitely not losing weight through loss of sleep because it is really stressful and exhausting.
