Moving in to our house

After 2 weeks of cleaning up, fixing, repairing, organizing furnitures and lots of wiping, vacuuming and mopping … our house is ready for us to move in.

One of the main reasons of us hurrying out of our previous home, two months earlier than planned, is to avoid contact with family members as much as possible. Why? This might sound very paranoid to you, but I’m doing so because I’m scared of them contracting the dreaded influenza A(H1N1) and passing it on to us. Pregnant woman and children under 5 belongs to the high-risk group. The way I see it, I’m responsible for taking care of my 2-year-old Clarisse, myself and the little guy in my tummy. A(H1N1) fatality rate might be low, but I’m not taking any chances even if people see it as overreacting.

Anyway, I’m out of the in-law’s house and in to our own home. My stuff is strewn everywhere in the living room and I can’t even remember what I put into stacks of boxes. It’s going to take days to unpack, sort things out and adapt to lifestyle changes. I have to admit, I dread doing household chores and from this day onwards, it’s going to be me and my husband’s full responsibility.

With a newborn on the way and a terrible-two Clarisse wreaking havoc, I can’t imagine how busy, physically tiring and emotionally draining the next six month’s will be.

Hi there! First time dropping by your blog.

Your post make me think of my new house, which is ready this year. Should be able to move in after CNY. With a 3 years old plus girl and a baby on the way, it is going to be a busy time for me next year! hahaha! and even busier if I am working by then
