When times are tough, crime prospers. Snatch thieves are everywhere. Last week, two pregnant women were reported killed as victims of snatch thieves on motorbikes. It is terrible to read such sad news on the papers on a weekly basis. Killing someone just to steal their handbags. Just for a couple hundreds of bucks and a precious life is lost.

Just last week, our neighbour’s house was broken into. No one was at home at that time so apparently no one got hurt. We had our fair share of stolen properties too. Aluminium and steel patio chairs and tables. Tennis and running shoes. Even pots and pans. Things that aren’t of any value were stolen from our compound.

Our police certainly need to do their job more efficiently. More patrolling the streets and neighbourhoods please. Living in Malaysia is becoming scarier every passing day.
