Clarisse surprises me sometimes with her memory and observation. Last week we went to my mom’s house for lunch. After lunch, I took a bath and changed into my sister’s pair of bermuda short for comfort. It is very colourful with a mix of odd messy shapes, patterns and colours.

Then its time to tuck Clarisse in for her afternoon nap. All of a sudden she pointed towards my bermuda shorts and shouted “Ku Cheh pants”! That’s what she call my sister-in-law in cantonese. It took me a while to register and figure out why she mentioned that.

Soon I realise my sister-in-law really do wear bermuda’s with similar sort of colours, pattern and design often at home. I have no idea she notices and remember such trivial stuff. Furthermore, the last time Clarisse saw her aunt was nearly two months ago. She is a full-time law degree student in KL and only comes back every 2 months or so.

When Clarisse finally doze off that afternoon, I went downstairs and asked my husband. Who else wear this sort of bermudas at home? He had no idea.
