Psyllium husk helps relieve constipation

My mom who suffers from constipation is the latest testimony that psyllium husk helps to relieve it. I introduced her to psyllium husk about 3 months ago and she’s been regularly consuming two teaspoons every morning. As for myself, I’ve been consuming it as a supplement since discovering it two years ago. I tried a weight loss and detox product called Colonix at that time and saw psyllium husk as the main ingredient. As it turned out, many detox and weight loss products has it in their ingredients list. Psyllium husk is a non-soluble fiber and that is partly why it makes a good weight loss ingredient as you’d feel full longer. Apart from detoxifying, naturally I find it very good for constipation problem. Even if you don’t have constipation problem, you can still take it for detox or colon cleansing. Psyllium husks can be easily found in local pharmacies.

My back is killing me

I woke up today with a pretty severe backache. Even my shoulder feels sore. This is nothing new but it feels terrible today. We take for granted the ergonomics of our chair and desk. The fixtures that provide our body support throughout hours of use while we work our butt off. My mom has warned me not to skimp on getting proper office furniture that is designed for long hours and provide sufficient support for our backs. Also the height of the desk has to match our height. The back pain is telling me the chair has got to go. I think I should consult a chiropractor too because my back pain seems to be chronic.

Under the weather

My husband caught the cold virus last week. Unfortunately, Clarisse wasn’t strong enough to resist the virus and was down with a cold 3 days ago starting with runny nose. Which then led to coughing and yesterday she was mildy feverish. The runny nose didn’t really bother much and was gone the next day. The coughing though seems to be lingering. Last night I gave her a dose of fever syrup before tucking her in and when she woke up this morning, her fever was gone. But the thermometer still indicates her temperature is borderline so I’ll have to observe her for the day. Everyone I met seems to be down with the cold these days. Perhaps its the bad weather.
