Psyllium husks are one of the main ingredients of weight loss and diet pill supplements. According to its literature, psyllium husks makes you feel full when consumed. Also it is great at eliminating toxins from the bowel and this is main reason why I’m taking it regularly. Each morning, I would put two teaspoon scoops into my apple cider and honey combo. Stir well and gulp it down with another glass of water to follow. It is to be taken with lots of water, I was told. My husband and mother-in-law too decided to consume psyllium husks on a regular basis.

It’s been nearly 3 months since I’ve carried Clarisse. My back felt like chronically in pain and I decided not to carry her anymore unnecessarily. I handed this responsibility over to my husband. So the last two months provided ample and much needed time for my back to heal. I’m glad to say I now wake up every morning with my back pain-free and that is such a wonderful feeling. Like being young again.
I do have to thank and pity my husband though. He strained his back muscles badly a few times when lifting or carrying Clarisse in an arkward position. It hurts him even as he breathes. Clarisse is not that light anymore. If one is not careful when carrying her, it will definitely put a strain on the back muscles.
To make it worst, he works from his desk for more than 8 hours a day. No matter how ergonomically good his chair is, those long hours are a torture. Especially to his back and shoulders.

A friend of mine asked me how much Adsense profits I’m earning these days? I told her that my blog earns very little. Just barely enough to cover hosting fees in fact. Boring personal blogs such as mine rarely gets enough traffic to generate decent amount of Adsense clicks. Even if I do develop a loyal following of readers, I’ll earn much less than websites/blogs that are built solely to target high valued keywords like credit cards, finance or mesothelioma. So I guess unless one really writes good and interesting contents, personal blogs is not a good online money maker.

Clarisse got some new pieces of cloths yesterday but had to wait until Friday to try them on. Her aunt in KL bought her a set of pyjamas, four t-shirts, a pair of short pants, a skirt and a dress at dirt cheap prices from a wholesale clothing sale yesterday. She’ll be travelling home on Friday (Labour’s Day holiday). Clarisse could really use more new clothes these days. She grew much taller in the past few months. Within just three months, the pair of Chinese New Year jeans we bought her no longer cover her socks and it feels too snug around the waist too. This goes for her pair of Chinese New Year shoes too.

Little Clarisse is being very talkative these days. She is one month shy from two years old. She’d pick up phrases and stuff we say, or do, without us expecting it.
Bedtime is proving to be one of her most talkative and sometimes funny moments. Maybe she feels bored while trying to sleep so she would say things to herself, for instance tonight while I was tucking her in …

Clarisse shouts: ” Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep … ”
Clarisse to herself: ” … papa scold you! ”
This evening, we bought wan ton mee takeaway at a roadside stall. Whenever my husband hops out of the car to do something, little Clarisse would climb over to the driver’s seat. She accidently pressed her weight on the car horn. Papa gave her a stern look and the pointed finger.

My husband did something terribly clumsy today while buying his cup of coffee from his favourite kopitiam. As he went to the counter to pay he accidently knock a cup of beverage and the liquid were splashed across the surface. Several pieces of paper and stuff were soaked wet. Some liquid even dripped onto the receipt printer under the counter’s top shelf. I hope it didn’t do any permanent damage to the electronic device. We feel really sorry and absolutely embarassed over the incident and apologised profusely. Patrons of the premise were staring at us. Even little Clarisse got excited and shouted “table” … “wet” “wet” … *LOL*

Clarisse birthday is just a month away. We are planning to make a trip to KL so that she can celebrate her birthday with her cousin sis and bro. Aged 8 and 5. My sister suggest we take her to Sunway Lagoon for a splash and I think its a great idea. Now that I think about it, Clarisse has never been to the pool. I bet she’d be delighted and enjoy her first experience at the pool. Its time to buy her some pool toys I guess. I hope all my sisters agree and can find time in their busy schedule to celebrate Clarisse’s birthday. It’s gonna be a great family get together too.

Nightmares can be really fearful for both child and parent. Even more so when your child have nightmares frequently. Nightmares happen during the REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep. They could change in length, but the child will normally recall what was about in their nightmare. On the other hand, night terrors usually happen about an hour or two after the child has gone to sleep, and may hold up anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. They happen when the non-REM part of sleep, and although his eyes are wide open, the child is asleep the entire time. When he wakes up though, he’ll not remember any of it.

Your body burns fat at a much slower pace when you’re older. In fact by the time you reach 30, you would have felt it noticeably. Just look at the number of clothes in your wardrobe you can no longer fit into. It’s time to face up to the fact that our metabolism rate isn’t what it used to a decade ago. At this age, you’re bound to find less time to exercise. Between juggling freelance work and motherhood, I can attest to that wholeheartedly. I find no shame admitting I occasionally take weight loss supplements and appetite suppressant to control my weight.

I have a friend who works at a commercial real estate firm for years. She is predicting the housing and property market to drop even further later this year. As for signs of recovery, she said frankly, don’t kid ourselves. If reports predict we’ll be rising from the slump in a year or two, take it with a grain of salt. Sellers are outnumbering buyers by a significant margin. She has peers who are in the same field being laid off because of downsizing. Some popular real estate and property development firms are closing down for good. I listened to her woes over lunch last week. Doses of reality such as these made my day even gloomier I tell you.
