My mom used to tell me not to get Clarisse too excited before bedtime. This is to prevent her from crying and having a restless night. I should have heeded her advise more diligently.

As most of you know, last night was Earth Hour and we switched off the lights leaving the fan and a tiny baby light on. Clarisse took out her little torch light and found it so exciting as the light penetrates the darkness. She had a constant grin in her face, jumped everywhere and pointed her torch light at everything.

Unfortunately, for the rest of the night, she couldn’t sleep restfully and woke up crying a few times. So she ended up sleeping on our nearly the entire night.

It’s funny how kids can find so much fun in mundane things. I never imagined she’d have so much fun with a torch light in the dark.
