One of the best things about vacationing abroad is getting to experience winter. For someone who live their entire life in tropical heat, my two-week winter vacation in New Zealand was an enjoyable experience. I know most people avoid vacationing during the winter season, but I wanted to experience what winter is like and I have no regrets. But I’d admit if I were to live there permanently, the freezing temperatures of winter may prove to be overwhelming and unbearable. Some nights the bedroom is so cold, I’d feel chilly under the thick quilt. Times like these I really appreciate the electric blanket that came with the rented accommodation. It makes the bed so cozy and warm you don’t want to get out of bed in the morning.
