Woohoo, another 10 cent petrol price cut
Arghhh! I should have waited another day to fill up the petrol tank. I just topped up my car this evening before coming home and read about the 10 cents petrol price cut on the news. The remaining two bars in my Toyota Vios could easily have lasted another day or two of driving around town.
Yea I know the government promised to review petrol prices fortnightly but they’ve seldom reduce punctually. I guess they did it time this round. Well anyway, a further 10 cent cut to RM1.80 per litre is better than nothing. We need all the savings we can muster to go through tough times ahead.
Seriously, who would’ve imagined global oil prices nosediving to barely US$40 per barrel in such a short time. Some pundits are even predicting US$30. 6 months ago, these were numbers we can only dream of. Now that its reality, the numbers are seen in an ominous perspective instead. Indicating the likelihood of a global depression is closing in fast and hard. At US$140 per barrel, life sucked. At US$40, still life sucks.
