Constant adult supervision required when Baby Clarisse walks
As steady as she can walk now, baby Clarisse still needs constant adult supervision wherever she goes. Be it around the house or public places. Those legs of hers would suddenly get wobbly and she’d fall on her bum. Other times she’s trip on her own foot and fall down, sometimes knocking her head and cry. She also likes to walk very fast and when she tries to stop and make a turn, that’s when she’ll trip or slip and falls down.
Then there’s always the danger in the form of furnitures, wires and other stuff around the house that constantly worries me. Baby Clarisse reaches out to anything she can reach. For instance drawers that are just within her reach, she’d pull them with all her might and risk pulling down the entire drawer or worst still, the entire cabinet housing the drawer. Table clothes too are a hazard to baby Clarisse. More like those things on top of the table that will get dragged and fall over when the table cloth is tugged.
Baby Clarisse seems to be obsessed with playing and pulling wires around the house too. Just the other day, baby Clarisse pulled one of the HDMI cables we have around the living room, one that happens to be connected to my husband’s PS3 Blu-Ray device, until the device fell down from the cabinet. There’s a slight chip at the corner but apparently no severe damages. It scared the s*%t out of us. We thought hey that’s nearly 2 grand down the drain with that one drop. But what really scares me is what if baby Clarisse were to fool around with bigger devices like a TV or something. We saw in the papers just yesterday, a 20-month-old baby boy got hurt really bad when a TV fell on him.
Sigh, the getting thru the day taking care of baby Clarisse seems to be getting longer and longer. I barely have time on her own to do personal things now that baby Clarisse need more adult supervision.
