My IBM notebook battery died

After slightly more than 3 years of daily use, my IBM notebook’s battery died. We took it to the technician yesterday to have it checked because it doesn’t seem to be charging when plugged into the socket. I’ve relieved knowing it’s the battery’s fault instead of something inside my notebook, which could lead to longer repair time and a more expensive bill. For the past 2 weeks, my notebook has to be used right next to a socket which is very confining and inconvenient at times.

The battery has been ordered and will arrive on Tuesday or later according to the shop. I will also ask my husband to give my notebook a good cleaning. Refresh the OS entirely to wipe out any malware which might have creeped in – viruses, spyware, keylogger, trojan – urgh. But I don’t think I’m infested coz I’ve got Sandboxie which isolates my operating system against the internet while I browse. Cool huh. And I have scanners run daily to spot them malwares.
