My weight is increasing again
Guess what, my weight has been on the increase for the past few months much to my dismay. After giving birth to baby Clarisse, I saw my weight dropping for the following few months. Then at around 8-9 months I noticed the scales aren’t decreasing in numbers anymore and slowly gaining weight instead. My diet hasn’t changed. I’m eating the same portions as I’ve been eating in the past year or so.
One thing which I suspect is contributing to my weight increase could be weening. Since I’m not breastfeeding baby Clarisse anymore, the benefit of burnt calories from breastfeeding is gone. That could be one reason.
Also, I’m going to reduce my dinner portion from now on and see how it goes. I can’t do without supper though as my stomach would be too acidic and triggers gastric pain. I’m only eating a slice of bread at night so I wonder how I could reduce it further. Seriously, at my age and slowing metabolism, we can’t expect to burn calories like we used to in our 20′s. Over-eating is one major culprit to weight gain.
As for exercising, I’ll have to kickstart my jogging routine earlier than planned. Starting this week, it’s 45-minutes of jogging/brisk walking every alternate mornings or evenings. We’ll also throw in a couple of tennis sessions in between the week.
And I’ve been checking out some weight loss products to help me out. But to be on the safe side, I’ll probably seek advice from a nutrition specialist or physician before using these products.
Wish me luck.
