My husband favourite coffee haunt is a shabby old kopitiam in town. We were there yesterday afternoon to kill some time. Then we saw a couple of computer technician arrive and went about setting up modem, routers and wifi access point. The owner’s son told us that they’ll be setting up WiFi internet access for the customers.

Unlike years ago, where the only dining places you can get WiFi internet access is posh coffee chains like Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Dome Cafe or Starbucks coffee, don’t be surprised any run-down coffee shops everywhere to have this facility very soon.

Back to our coffee shop, I thought great! Now I could surf the web while accompanying my husband. He drinks coffee, I don’t. So now I get to surf the web to keep myself occupied.

The only gripe is I cannot imagine anyone would be comfortable surfing the internet for an hour or two in a hot and stuffy environment. If I have 2 hours to kill, I’d rather pay the extra few dollars for a more comfy surrounding in Coffee Bean or Starbucks.
