HDMI cable problem

Our HDMI cable failed today. Yes I can still watch my favourite DVDs and Blue-Rays but there’s a solarizing effect at the top part of the screen. I won’t mind the blemished screen and neither does baby Clarisse when watching her favourite toddler show but when it comes to daddy … whoa, he freaks out big time. He went out looking for HDMI cables as soon as he could and end up buying one twice as expensive as the old one, good gawd. I hope this one lasts.

    Strange. That doesn’t sound like a cable problem. I’ve seen pixelation before, but never “solarizing”.

    Have you swapped the cable yet? What were the results.
