Baby Clarisse can cruise and sit down gently

Baby Clarisse will be 10 months tomorrow. The past week has seen my baby Clarisse cruise all over the crib holding onto the rails. The size and thickness of the rails are just perfect for her little hands to grasp tightly so she has no problem cruising around the crib. She can’t cruise as well when her hands are placed onto sofas or against the wall, places she can’t quite grab onto well enough for support.

Just two days ago, she managed to sit down gently by grasping the lower part of the rails, bend her knees and gently kneel down. I hope with some practise and time, she’d be able to fall down gently on her bum when she learn to cruise or take her first few unaided steps in the future.

Also I think she may be able to understand when we tell her to ’sit down’ because I’ve been repeatingly saying it out loud whenever I see her sitting down. Most of the time, she does as told. We are seeing a fairly big improvement in her ability to pick up, understand new words, phrases and gestures and respond to them.

Very soon she will be able to walk, then run, then climb up and down like a monkey and giving you heart attacks… and you will be yelling away LOL!
