Go camping
While out in my garden taking in the fresh morning air, I had a chat with my neighbour seeing her busy packing up for a camping trip with her family. She’s be camping with her family at a tea plantation estate up in the highlands. It will be the first time her youngest son, now 3, experience the joy of camping.
Now this should be the way instead of taking the kids to the city and camping in the country’s latest and biggest shopping centres. We should introduce our kids to opportunities where they could get out, explore, discover and hopefully appreciate the finer things our natural environment has to offer. Much better than raising them in the confines of material and digital entertainment cocoon.
Oh how I wish I could follow my neighbour. When my baby Clarisse is bigger, I’ll probably get my camping gear out of the closet, give it a good dusting and join them neighbours for camping trips.
