My baby is trying to stand up on her own
Today, my baby Clarisse managed to hold my hands and pull herself up to a standing position. Like always, having discovered a new physical prowess, she gets very excited to try it out and she certainly did countless of times tonight. Of course I’m happy with that but when she kept doing it during bedtime, I wish she’d stop and resume practising it tomorrow morning. I had to pin her down several times just to make her sleep tonight. But I hand it to her for being so determined and anxious to stand up.
While she has managed to stand for a couple of months now, I’ve never seen her go from a sitting position to a standing position, and hold it steady for a couple of seconds. In the last two months or so, I had to lift her up to stand on her legs. Holding onto her at all times. She enjoys standing up but never really had the strength to support and maintain her balance on her own. Her legs might have been strong enough to support her weight for some time now, I suppose. From now on, all she has to learn and practise is balancing herself.
