Chinese New Year mood has faded

The mood and celebration of Chinese New Year is fading fast. In fact, to most people, Chinese New Years celebration ends when it’s time to leave their hometown, drive back to the big city and their jobs.

As for our family, the air of Chinese New Year ended when my brother-in-law flew back to Australia and my sister-in-law resumes her studies in KL. They came back to celebrate Chinese New Year and we had a blast. It’s also the first time my baby Clarisse get to meet his uncle. They hit it off right from the start and baby Clarisse enjoyed his uncle’s company very much.

I don’t know about you, our family tend to eat out a lot during Chinese New Years. This year is no exception. For the first 3 days of Chinese New Year, we dined at various restaurants in town. Lunch, dinner and even supper at times. As much as I enjoyed the feast fare, I’ve got to admit, it really taxes my digestive system. Just ask my husband, who succumbed to indigestion problems third day into Chinese New Year. It lasted for days. He could barely digest anything. Now that he’s better, I’m suggesting we start a 2-week detoxification course to get rid of the filth accumulated during our Chinese New Year over-indulgence and do a liver cleanse too.

I hope you had a wonderful Chinese New Year! Here’s looking forward to next year. May you all be blessed with good health and good luck.
