Recently, a friend of mine told me about a vacant position at a firm fairly similar to my previous one, dealing with real estate and property development. Job description is pretty close to what I’ve been doing in my previous company. I am sure I should be able to pick things up reasonably well if I get the job offer. It’s been nearly 3 years since I left my job at a real estate and property development firm.

I really wish this job opportunity could have popped up a year later. I would have seriously consider accepting it then. It has always been my wish to be a stay-at-home mom to my baby Clarisse. At least until she’s a year and a half.

There’s also another reason why my interest in getting a job have waned. I’ve been working at home for than 2 years and online opportunities are earning me a comfortable monthly extra income. The amount may not be much but to be able to do it in my own free time, at home, or at a wifi cafe, is a boon. To mothers with a newborn to take care of, working-at-home is a very attractive proposition. And I’m afraid, I’m kinda addicted to it.
