While cleaning up the last bits and pieces of stuff in our home office area, I accidentally tripped over my husband’s hi-fi cable. Bad enough that the cable came off the connecting end to the speakers. At first, I thought nothing of it. To be honest, I thought how expensive can it be.

When he came home and saw the cable’s connector was ripped, he was very upset. And it was only at that moment he told me exactly how much that hi-fi cable really cost; a cool one grand for a flimsy little cable barely 3 metres long! Oh my gawd!

Once I got over the shock, I asked him if it can be repaired. I mean, it’s just a cable with a broken connector. He’s not too sure about it. It’s not just any normal cable with a copper/metal wire core, it’s fiber optics. And fiber optic cables don’t come cheap but it’s supposed to be awesome. At that price, it had better be!
